Antonio Marin is considered by many today to be the premiere maker of fine handcrafted classical guitars in Spain. A former protege of the great French luthier, Robert Bouchet - the esteemed and now senior Granada maker, Antonio Marin, handcrafts a classical guitar which is a unique blend of the Northern European and Spanish guitar making traditions.
Highly sought after worldwide, Marin's concert guitars possess a wonderful deep earthy sound: lean without being thin, bell like without lacking character, and very precise - quick, powerful trebles, midrange and bass; excellent sustain, balance, separation and color.
Materials: Very dark brown/black book matched Brazilian two piece back and sides, straight grain European spruce soundboard, lovely proportions with understated traditional visual aesthetics, classic black/brown/black mosaic rosette, stylized Torres inspired head crest, French polish of shellac finish, clean elegant workmanship throughout, 650mm string length, Galli strings.
